Intervention

Target Population

Children between 0 and 6 years old, with changes in body functions or structures that limit participation in typical activities for their age and social context, or with serious risk of developmental delay, as well as their families.

Goals

Develop programs appropriate to the specific needs of each child, with a view to promoting their development. Empower families to become more competent and independent in attending to the special needs of their children.

Support Modalities

Support in the child's natural context;
Weekly and biweekly ambulatory support.

Team

This team is an integral part of the Tavira Local Intervention Team (ELI), which covers the municipalities of Tavira, Vila Real de Santo António, Castro Marim and Alcoutim.

The technicians under the responsibility of the FIR are the following:
- Social Service Technician (35h)
- Psychologist (17,5h)
- Occupational Therapist (24h)
- Physiotherapist (6h)
- Speech therapist (24h)
