On June 13th the Irene Rolo Foundation inaugurated a shop in the centre of Tavira. This shop will function in a space of the old residence of D. Irene Rolo (Rua da Liberdade n.º 64). Also the opening date has a special meaning because it coincides with the birth day of the benefactor (Saint Anthony’s day).
In this shop we will provide handicrafts, fashion accessories, gifts, custom prints, among other products. All proceeds from this shop will revert to the Irene Rolo Foundation (Instituição Particular de Solidariedade Social), in the implementation of projects for the disabled population.
Most of the products made available in this space will be elaborated with the participation of people with disabilities, thus giving visibility to the artistic potential of these people.
During some periods of the week, visitors will have the opportunity to watch practical demonstrations with the participation of people with disabilities, which is for our beneficiaries an opportunity to promote self-esteem and social inclusion.
