The municipality of Tavira was identified as a territory characterized by critical situations of poverty, particularly child poverty, based on its characteristics in terms of social fragility. Thus, according to the profile mentioned above, the actions to be developed in the territory are part of Intervention Axis 2 - "Family and parental intervention, preventing child poverty". Different agents and local resources will be mobilized in an integrated way, with the purpose of a proximity intervention carried out in partnership, with a view to a family and parental intervention to prevent child poverty based on an action plan, drawn up with the collaboration of the executive core of the Tavira local social action council.
The action plan breaks down into the following activities: Workshop Space - Educarte The workshops vary in length according to the topics covered, and their main goal is to provide mothers and fathers with the essential skills they need to exercise positive parenting and active citizenship. Playing with Affection It is intended to promote peddy-papers, shared lunches, photo sessions, and short films in order to promote moments of informal interaction between fathers/mothers and children. Family Space It is a space that works in a school and community context with an intervening role at the level of family problems through the promotion of psychological and social accompaniment of children, young people, and their families.
In Contact It is intended to dynamize actions planned and executed with the beneficiaries in order to celebrate important dates in the community and participate in events. The main goal is to actively involve households in the promotion of activities directed to the community in order to promote their participation in local dynamics. Inclusive Holidays Activities are organized during school vacations for children and young people from needy and vulnerable families. Socio-professional experiences may also occur in various entities for the observation/approximation of the beneficiaries to real work contexts. In a logic of inclusion children and young people with and without disabilities will be included. Incluarte It is a space that offers a set of non-formal education activities for children and young people after school hours, with the goal of promoting healthy lifestyles and the integration of users in the community.
To carry out the above mentioned activities, the project is funded by CrescAlgarve and the ISS, has a duration of 3 years and a budget of 341,000 euros
