Documentary in memory of Irene Rolo (in portuguese)
1982 (15/abr) Public document for the creation of the Irene Rolo Foundation, by donation of Irene Dulce da Palma Arez Rolo 1986 Start of the Irene Rolo Foundation's activity, in the donor's country house, with training for people with disabilities, through training programs financed by the European Social Fund.
1993 (4/jul) Inauguration of the main building, which allowed the development of the following social responses: Rehabilitation and Professional Formation Center, Occupational Activities Center and Early Intervention. 1994 (dez) Opening of the social response Residential Home, with the conclusion of adaptation works in the donor's old residence.
2001 Creation of the New Projects Unit, having developed over the years initiatives in partnership with local, national, and transnational entities. 2002 Opening of the Special Education School that operated for 7 years. 2010 (8/jun) Attribution, by the President of the Republic, of the title of honorary member of the Order of Merit.
2015 Opening of the Social Emergency Housing, which operated for 2 years. 2017 (18/jan) Approval of the FIR's new statutes, allowing a greater openness to the community, with the creation of new corporate organs, such as the Board of Trustees 2021 (24/jun) Tavira Municipality awards the silver medal of merit
