The Irene Rolo Foundation promotes a sculpture exhibition called “Seas of Inclusion”, which will be open to the public from 29/10 to 22/11, at Tavira Gran-Plaza Shopping Centre. This activity is framed in the project “Comunicarte”, financed by Rota Solidária – Associação Teia D’Impulsos.
An improbable mixture of materials such as wire, paper, tree branches, cork, among others, gives body to sculptures alluding to the Sea, on the occasion of the National Day of the Sea, celebrated on 16 November.
Involving disabled people in the production of these works is an opportunity to develop their personal and social skills. We also want the public to recognise the artistic potential of people with disabilities. When we focus on what each person can do and not on their disability, we contribute to social inclusion.
